iphone photo makes it into Big Issue of the North

One of the iphone photographs from Venice has been published in Big Issue of the North. It is a photograph of the Communist headquarters which has a religious shrine alongside the doorway into the office…it grabbed attention because it could be read as suggesting that the politicians might needs divine intervention to overcome the current economic difficulties in Europe!!  Just goes to show that spending lots of time thinking and talking about photography equipment and technique may be missing the point. With documentary photography what really counts is the information conveyed on both a denotive and connotive level. Here is the photograph…
