ground zero portraits

This is a series of portraits of people who visited the Juke Joint Blues Festival in Clarksdale Mississippi in April 2011. Clarksdale is in the Mississippi Delta and is widely regarded as the home of the ‘Blues’. I taped a white sheet to a wall just outside the Ground Zero Blues Club and invited people walking by to step forward to have their portrait made. The series is my way of documenting the Juke Joint Festival.
