I had some really good news this week. Town House Gallery in Fournier Street, Spitalfields has agreed to stage an exhibition of my Lifting the Curtain work. The event will run from 15th-24th October and will be part of the 2015 East London International Photography Festival. The venue is fantastic. It is a standalone gallery space set in the rear garden of one of the lovely 18th century town houses, right next to Hawksmoor’s Christ Church.
Prints, an exhibition catalogue and copies of my book will be on sale. All monies raised will go to Toynbee Hall who have been providing support, advice and education to the needy of East London for 130 years. Charles Booth was based at Toynbee Hall whilst conducting his 1889 survey. Lifting the Curtain revisits Booth’s East London through a series of modern day photographs and texts drawn from his 1889 survey.
Watch this space for more details as plans for the event unfold…

Big congratulations Keith. I would say you will be lost without the course but then you’ve now moved to sustaining your own practice; running, cycling swimming; travelling…. so I don’t think I will make that comment 😉

you might be right Pete, but at the moment I have a lot on and with this exhibition, selling books and designing a catalog, not to mention the training and racing, I’m a bit busy!!

Hi Keith!
Wow! You have accomplished amazing things over the winter. Congratulation! Please do let me know when you will be making your book available through Blurb as I would like to purchase one and will not likely be over there this year. Perhaps before I go that route I could ask you if you have any interest in getting involved in shipping one to Canada via the Royal Mail…
If you are open to communication through less public means send me an email…

Thanks for that….will investigate shipping costs to Canada…. Book is limited signed edition and so I am not planning to sell via Blurb, but I am sending out copies through the mail directly and can accept payments by Paypal… will email you with the details…
